We achieve our goals by creating, supporting and nurturing strategic partnerships with reputable, independent organizations. GEIA has three types of partners: Country Partners, Regional Partners and Global Partners.

Country Partners: This requires a formal agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding. Among other things, selection criteria for Country Partners are based on partners’ capacity to undertake and disseminate Africa-focused research, and local mobilization potential. We have finalized a number of strategic partnerships; our goal in the coming months and years is to have one in place in each of the 54 African countries. Regional and Global Partners: Regional Partners are regional economic integration organizations in Africa; Global Partners are reputable think tanks across the globe. No formal agreement is required for these two categories, but alignment of interests is key.
